Pakistan is one of the countries that have bilateral agreements on the exemption from the requirement of visa by diplomatic, official/service passport holders with Vietnam.


The agreement was signed on January 30th, 2007 and took effect on March 2nd, 2007. The exemption of visa includes exemption of visa for entry, exit, and transit. The duration of stay subject to visa exemption begins from the date of entry.


The contents of visa exemption agreed upon between Vietnam and Pakistan


► Diplomatic or official/service passport holders are exempted from Vietnam visa with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days. The stay duration may be extended by each party at a written request of concerned diplomatic mission or consular posts.


► Exemption of visa during the whole granted to bearers of diplomatic passports or official passports who are members of diplomatic missions, consular posts or representative missions of international organizations and their families’ members bearing diplomatic passports or official passports (including their spouse, children under 18 years old). These people are liable to complete required procedures of residence registration within 90 days from the date of their entry.


Getting Vietnam visa for Pakistani citizens

  • Original passport
  • 01 recently-taken passport-sized photo
  • Visa application form
  • Invitation letter
