Informative articles about Vietnam visa and travelling
If you're landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) and need to catch a domestic flight, knowing how to move between terminals can save you time and reduce stress, especially with recent updates in terminal operations.
This guide explains how to transfer from the International Terminal (T2) to the Domestic Terminals (T1 & T3) at SGN Airport, as well as what you need to prepare for a smooth transit.
Tan Son Nhat Airport now operates three terminals:
T2 - International flights (all airlines)
T1 - Domestic flights by VietJet Air, Bamboo Airways, and others
T3 - New domestic terminal for Vietnam Airlines only (launched in mid-2025)
Note: Because all Vietnam Airlines domestic flights now depart from T3, which is located 2km away from the International Terminal (T2), it’s best to use the free shuttle bus or take a taxi/Grab for a convenient transfer.
