Apply for a business visa at the Embassy

The application process for a Vietnam business embassy visa will be as follows:

Step 1: Get the Vietnam visa code through a Vietnam visa agency

Your sponsor company in Vietnam will apply for your Vietnam visa code (also known as Vietnam business visa invitation letter, business visa approval letter, or Vietnam entry permit) with the Vietnam Immigration Department. Required documents include:

  • Photo of a foreigner’s passport

  • Certified copy of the Business registration of the sponsor company

  • Form NA2

  • Form NA16

  • other documents as required.

This process will take around 5-7 working days since receipt of the full required documents by the Immigration.

If the application is approved, the Immigration Department of Vietnam will issue the visa code to your sponsor

Note:

  • A visa code is not a visa; it is merely an authorization that allows you to visit the Vietnamese Embassy and obtain the actual visa.

  • You cannot apply for a visa code on your own without a sponsoring company or organization in Vietnam.

Step 2: Approach the Vietnam Embassy with a Vietnam visa letter to get visa sticker

After receiving confirmation that your visa code has been sent to the Embassy, you will:

  • Visit the Embassy or Consulate with:

  • Your passport

  • A copy of the visa approval letter

  • Visa application form

  • Passport-sized photos

  • The visa fee

The Embassy will verify the approval and stamp the visa (visa sticker) in your passport.

Tip: After your visa code is issued, it may take a few days for the document to reach the Embassy. We recommend that you wait 2-3 working days before visiting the Embassy to avoid unnecessary waiting.

Step 3: Travel to Vietnam

With the business visa in hand, you can enter Vietnam for your intended business activities.

How long does it take to get a Vietnam business visa?

► Vietnam Embassy: The Vietnam Embassy will handle business visas with a processing time from 5-7 working days, depending on the specific Embassy where you apply.

► Vietnam evisa: Normally, it takes 3-5 working days as the standard processing time.

However, your visa can be quickly processed with the Vietnam e-Visa express service (1 working hour- 2 working days).

How much does a Vietnam business visa cost?

  • For Vietnam business evisa

If you apply directly on the official government e-visa website, the official fees are as below:

Single entry: $25 US/ person

Holding a business visa, you are allowed to enter Vietnam for:

•Take part in conferences and meetings for business purposes

• Setting up an industrial/business venture

• Performing sale/purchase/trade activities
