Vietnam visa requirements for Sri Lanka passport holder
Being Sri Lanka citizens, you are required to apply for Vietnam visa in order to travel to Vietnam for any purposes: tourism, business, family visit. At the moment, there are two ways of getting Vietnam visa for Sri Lankan passport holder.
1. Applying for Vietnam visa on arrival at Vietnamvisavoa.com
2. Getting Vietnam Visa done at Vietnam Embassy

How does Vietnam visa on arrival work for Sri Lanka passport holder?
Step 1:
You will fill in 1 Vietnamese visa application form which includes your personal detail: Full name, nationality… and your trip detail: entry/exit date, arrival airport… or simply take a copy of your passport page and send to our support email: support@vietnamvisavoa.com. When you apply for Vietnam visa online with us, you do not need to send any flight confirmation, hotel booking or tour program.
Step 2:
Our visa consultant then will check your detail before sending you invoice to make payment for service fee. This fee is paid to our company as service charge for getting your Vietnam visa request approved at Vietnam Immigration. You could make payment for service fee in different ways: Credit Card/ Paypal/ Western Union/ Bank transfer.
Step 3:
Once, we receive the payment for service fee from you. We will do all necessary paperwork and submit your Vietnam visa request to Vietnam Immigration Department. On normal basic, it takes from 3 to 5 working days for Vietnam Immigration to issue Vietnam visa approval letter for you. Once Vietnam visa letter is ready, a copy of the visa letter will be sent to your email. Also, a Vietnamese visa application form and instruction will be attached. Step 4:

You wait for a few minutes to have your Vietnam visa stick on your passport. You then clear the custom and head to Arrival Hall. Welcome you to Vietnam!
As can be seen that there is no special requirements for Sri Lanka to get Vietnam visa on arrival, Vietnam visa on arrival is widely used by all most travelers from all over the world including Sri Lanka citizens.
Vietnam visa service fee is various among different nationalities. At our website, for Sri Lanka passport holders, it costs $ 115 US service fee online to get your Vietnam visa approval letter issued within some working days (from 3 to 5 working days). This is service fee that you pay for us when you send your visa request confirmation. Besides, you also must pay for stamping fee. For 1 month single tourist visa, you will pay $ 25 US in cash as stamping fee on arrival. It is most recommended that you pay for stamping fee in cash in USD with the exact amount of stamping fee.

- Vietnam visa on arrival is valid only when you travel by plane to Vietnam. If you get to Vietnam by sea or land border from nearby countries, you must obtain Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy/Consulate before leaving for Vietnam.
- Your passport must have at least 6 month validity before your actual entry date.
• Travel documents are not accepted to get your Vietnam visa issued.

If you live nearby Vietnam Embassy, you could also get Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy. Applying for Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy means that you will directly work with Vietnam visa officer at the Embassy of Vietnam in Sri Lanka. It is highly recommended to read instruction carefully on Vietnam Embassy website before submitting your Vietnam visa application with Vietnam Embassy. Mostly, Vietnam Embassy will ask for your return flight, hotel booking and tour package if you ask for a tourist visa and in case you go to Vietnam for business, an invitation from an organization in Vietnam will be required.
