1.What is Vietnam visa on arrival?

This is for you to get stamped visa upon arrival when you fly into Vietnam. You just need to fill in Vietnam visa application form at our website, pay the service fee to get your "Visa approval letter" issued by Vietnam Immigration department via email within 1 - 2 working days. You take along with you the document to Vietnam International airports (Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh) and pick up your stamped visa there.

2.How to get a visa approval letter?

You submit a visa request online at: You then pay to service fee. The visa approval letter will be issued by Vietnam Immigration Department and it will be sent to your email in 1- 2 working days.

3.What is the “approval letter”?

The "Visa approval letter" is a document which is issued by the Immigration Office. It allows you to enter and exit Vietnam for a given time period. With the approval letter, you can pick up your visa upon arrival at one of the four international airports in Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh , Nha Trang and Da Nang).

4.How long does it take to get the approval letter?

Normally, the approval letter is processed and emailed you within one or 2 working days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and National Holiday). In urgent cases, you are able to get the visa letter with several working hours.
Please note that the time frame above is applied for regular cases and for tourist visa. For some other cases, it may take upto a week to collect the document.

5.How do I receive my visa approval letter?


A colored scanned copy of the approval letter will be sent to you by email, so please make sure that you have provided us with the correct email address. In case you do not receive the visa letter in time, you should contact us right away.

6.Who can use this visa approval letter?


Visa approval letter is used for those who are flying into Vietnam only so that they could collect stamped visa at Vietnam Airport. The four international airports in Vietnam that you can receive your visa stamp with this approval letter are: Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), Danang Airport (Da Nang) and Cam Ranh Airport ( Nha Trang) . The visa approval letter is NOT VALID for OVERLAND ENTRY
Note: If you plan to enter Vietnam by land or cruise, please visit Vietnamese Embassy / Consulate to get your visa prior to your trip.

7.What document do I need to apply for Vietnam visa on arrival?


All you need to do is to submit a visa form online with essential information as shown in your passport (full name, nationality, gender, date of birth, passport number, passport expiration date), your arrival date and visa type.

8.Do I need photos?


Yes, you do. However, photos are required upon arrival Vietnam's airports only, so please remember to bring at least 2 photos of standard passport size.
Note: If you cannot prepare those photos before your departure, you can also get them at a Vietnam airport for 2 USD or so per photo.

9.What if my passport is going to expire in less than 6 months?


To apply for a visa to Vietnam, your passport must have at least 6 month's validity. Therefore, if your passport is about to expire, please get a new one before applying for your visa in order to avoid unwanted problems at the airport. Practically, if you could manage to fly into Vietnam, there is no issue at Vietnam Airports.

10.I do not know my exact arrival and exit date, what should I do?


You can take estimation. The arrival date you provide can be earliest date that you plan to arrive and you can arrive after that date. As for exit date, you could leave Vietnam on any dates before your visa expires.
