1. How to get Vietnamese visa for Chinese citizen in China?

 

First, let us confirm that being Chinese passport holder, you must apply for Vietnam visa. You can either apply Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy/Consulate in China or get Vietnam visa on arrival.
 

1.1.Chinese citizens apply for Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy/Consulate

 

To submit Vietnam visa application at Vietnam Embassy, the applicants must directly approach the Embassy of Vietnam in China or Consulate in China in person and submit your Vietnam visa application by yourself. Normally, you would need to provide: your original passport, a completed Vietnam visa application form. Sometimes, you must provide extra documents include hotel booking, flight ticket. You would pay compulsory visa fees in cash at Vietnam Embassy.
 
About processing time, it takes within 5 -7 working days to process your Vietnam visa request. You will have your Vietnam visa in your hand before you leave for Vietnam. 1.2.Chinese citizens get Vietnam visa on arrival

 

In order to get Vietnam visa on arrival, Chinese applicants must submit a secured Vietnam visa request online; they pay for Vietnam visa service fee by different methods: Credit card, PayPal, Western Union or Bank transfer.
 
Upon receiving the payment, we will submit your Vietnam visa request at Immigration Department of Vietnam. You are receiving Vietnam visa approval letter sent to your email after 1-2 working days. While your visa request is being processed, we will send you email to update your visa status.
 
Once you receive Vietnam visa letter and Vietnamese visa application form through email, it is your responsibility to double check the detail in the visa approval letter to make sure that there is no typo errors with your name, passport number, and entry-exit date. Furthermore, you also should fill in Vietnamese visa application form with your personal detail in order to hand in upon arrival airport.
 
When you reach Vietnam International airport, you will present your documents includes: Vietnam visa approval letter, Vietnam visa application form glued with 01 passport photo, your original valid passport and stamping fee in cash at Landing visa/ Visa upon arrival area. You would wait for a few minutes and Immigration officer will stamp a Vietnam visa sticker on your passport.
 
Following collecting the visa page, you should check the visa type and its validity. If any mistakes are found, you should inform the officer right away.
 

2. How to get Vietnam visa for expats living in China 

 

For foreigners who are staying in China and they want to visit Vietnam for tourism or business purpose, they also can get Vietnam visa in China in 2 ways as mentioned earlier.

  • Vietnam tourist visa type or DL visa is issued for applicants who travel to Vietnam for tourist purpose. A Vietnam tourist visa may last for 1 month single/ multiple or 3 months single/ multiple entries. 
  • Vietnam business visa type or DN visa is issued for applicants who come to Vietnam for business activities: working in Vietnam for a short time, visiting business partners in Vietnam.
