Do Chinese need to apply for Vietnam visa. If yes, how can they apply for Vietnam visa ? Find out the answer below.

For many people, they automatically understand that citizens in one country do not need to get Vietnam visa for the neighboring countries. This is not true between China and Vietnam countries. Chinese citizens must apply for Vietnam visa in order to visit Vietnam and in return Vietnamese is not exempted from China visa.


Like most of other nationalities, Chinese can apply for Vietnam visa in 2 common ways: get Vietnam visa directly at Vietnam Embassy in China or apply for Vietnam visa on arrival through a travel agent to get stamped visa upon Vietnam International airport.


Get Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in China

This is the most popular and classic way of getting Vietnam visa for all nationalities in general. It normally takes between 5-7 working days to get Vietnam visa approved.  In order to apply for Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy/ Consulate in China, applicants have to bring with them their original passport with at least 6 month validity, 2 passport-sized photos and visa fee in cash. For some cases, applicants are requested to show flight tickets, hotel booking confirmation. 


As for the fee, you should notice that visa fee may be varied from Embassies to Embassies. We would suggest you to contact Vietnam Embassy/ Consulate for proper and exact detail about requirement and visa fee for specific cases.

Get Vietnam on arrival at:

Besides getting Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy, Chinese citizens also can get Vietnam visa on arrival.


This type of Vietnam visa is becoming so popular among tourists and businessmen these days for its convenience and simplicity. Before submitting the visa request, do make sure that your Chinese passport is still valid, at least 6 months from your date of entry.


The procedure for getting Vietnam visa on arrival for Chinese citizen is quite simple, fast and effective. Simply, they just need to fill out an online application form with personal information as indicated on the passport page such as: Full name, passport number, nationalities… do remember to double check carefully these details as it is not possible to modify anything when your visa request is sent to Vietnam Immigration department. Next step is to pay for Vietnam visa service fee which can be paid in different ways: Credit Card, Paypal, Bank Transfer or Western Union.


Once the payment is received by us, we will do necessary procedure to submit your Vietnam visa request at the Immigration Department of Vietnam.
