For many people, they automatically understand that citizens in one country do not need to get Vietnam visa for the neighboring countries. This is not true between China and Vietnam countries. Chinese citizens must apply for Vietnam visa in order to visit Vietnam and in return Vietnamese is not exempted from China visa.

 

Like most of other nationalities, Chinese can apply for Vietnam visa in 2 common ways: get Vietnam visa directly at Vietnam Embassy in China or apply for Vietnam visa on arrival through a travel agent to get stamped visa upon Vietnam International airport.

 

Get Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in China


This is the most popular and classic way of getting Vietnam visa for all nationalities in general. It normally takes between 5-7 working days to get Vietnam visa approved.  In order to apply for Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy/ Consulate in China, applicants have to bring with them their original passport with at least 6 month validity, 2 passport-sized photos and visa fee in cash.
